13. Februar 2024 Noemi hatte Besuch :
Die kleine Noemi hatte Besuch und wie bisher bei allen Zweibeinern, die sie kennenlernen, hat sie auch diese im Nu um den Finger ..... ähm entschuldigung .... die Pfote gewickelt. Und so kommts, dass sie schon bald in ihr neues Zuhause umziehen darf.
Gestern gings aber zuerst noch zum Herz-Ultraschall. Denn Noemi hatte eine positiven Dirofilaria - Wert aus Spanien und auch der Test den wir in der Schweiz wiederholten war positiv. Der PCR war allerdings negativ und so entschieden wir uns um sicher zu sein für den Ultraschall. An dieser Stelle ganz herzlichen Dank an Yakaris Frauchen Laureen für die Beratung (Laureen ist Tierärztin und arbeitet im Labor vom Tierspital Bern) !
Der Ultraschall war ohne Befund und wir freuen uns sehr darüber ! So steht einer Abreise ins neue Zuhause nun nichts mehr im Wege.

28. April 2024 Noemi, an amazing companion :

Good evening Sandra.  
I just wanted to give you a quick update after the first day. 
 
Noemi is doing great. She was very stressed in the car, but when we arrived at home, she started to relax quickly. She was already exploring the apartment, we showed her all the places she could lay down on. Our little Stella gave her a couple of treats and she loved it and started to relax even more. 
 
After an hour or so she went to sleep in her room, but she woke up when she smelled food cooked in the kitchen and came to check. She was really interested in exploring the kitchen in particular 😁. She spent most of the afternoon on the couch or following the baby and licking her hands. We also made sure to give her a lot of cuddles but only when she was ok with it. 
 
When we went to bathe the baby, she also went into the bathroom to have a look at what’s going on. She also enjoyed being in the room with us when we were preparing the baby for bed. Then, after the baby went to sleep, Noemi came to the couch and laid down on top of me and demanded belly rubs! She’s now completely relaxed and happy. She ate her dinner normally and drinks water without a problem.
 
We had a couple of short walks, she did her business without any problems. She’s a little scared of the trams, but I think she will get used to them. Otherwise, she’s calm when walking and doesn’t react to other dogs even when they were barking. Also, she’s scared of the stairs but completely fine in the elevator so we are using the elevator to go down for the walks. 
 
I didn’t expect her to make progress so fast, but it seems she’s adjusting very well so I don’t think there will be any problems, hopefully. I’m attaching some pictures. I will send you an update in a couple of days.

Dear Sandra,
I hope you are well. We wanted to give you an update on how Noemi is doing in her new home.  
In the last 3 weeks Noemi opened up amazingly and has proven to be the most cuddly, sweet and lovable girl. She is very patient with our Stella who now is obsessed with her “Mimi”.   
At home, all she wants is to cuddle and spend time with her humans.
 
Outside of the house, Mimi is now a curious dog exploring the city and inviting other dogs to play. From a shy, scared, quiet dog she is slowly evolving into a playful and lovable girl.  
She is also growing as a neighborhood celebrity constantly complimented for her elegant look 😁
 
We could not have wished for a better addition to our family.
